| African Pygmy Goats are a miniature breed. They are considered to be more cobby, compact and muscular than the Nigerian Dwarf. Their heads and limbs are short relative to their body lengths. They are very social, good-natured, gentle and curious. They are genetically horned but disbudding and dehorning are allowed in the show ring. This is advisable if they are going to be around children . A polled pygmy goat is considered a disqualification. Pygmies come in a variety of color patterns. They are registered by the National Pygmy Goat Association(NPGA), American Goats Society and International Dairy Goat Registry. |
| Amanda just loves spending hours with the goats, especially the babies. Who knows, this could be one of our new and upcoming judges but I think we may have a few years yet. |
